Shalom! May our Almighty GOD and Father give you grace to take time and effort to read and evaluate our need of help and may you just consider this as one of your charity works. I really thank GOD for leading me to this Aidpage as I seek assistance for my four children whose report cards are still in the custody of their Christian school due to an outstanding balance.
I've tried to post my request knowing that GOD can touch people of good heart that can relate to the crisis that my family is going through these days. My family is praying for sponsors who can heartily grant scholarships or educational assistance to my four or any of my children who are gifted with artistic hands. I do believe that my children deserve to be supported of their dreams to finish their studies even only during these financial crises. In fact, they used to be among the TOP 10 outstanding students in the previous years before this crisis struck our family. I can see that their studies were affected greatly by our lack of budget to sustain their tuition fees and other miscellaneous expenses. Actually, they felt left out when they were not allowed to take their 1st periodic examinations last July 2007 that pulled down their grades on all subjects. And so were their 3rd and 4th periodic exams, were all considered zero this 2008. The main reason: I have not been able to pay yet for the balance of their quarter tuition fees prior to the examination periods. These incidents were too difficult for me to accept especially for my eldest daughter who used to be on Top 1-2 in their class. But since the school’s policy is, they will not consider the grades on the quarter exams if balance is not paid on time which they could have just hold the report cards instead of making them zero.
Indeed, I know our children are our own responsibility to raise and give them the best that we can give. However, in as much as we wish to, it’s getting difficult to do these days because aside from being the sole bread winner working in a small private company with a minimal monthly salary, my husband who was once an active Pastor of Lord Jesus Our Redeemer (LJOR) Church had been diagnosed having a brain tumor almost four (4) years ago. He can no longer go out alone without someone to accompany him because his lapses and seizures may attack anytime without any signs when to strike him. He needs to maintain an anti-seizure medicine for life. His maintenance medicine is hardly being sustained due to financial constraint as always been our problem these days. Worries, pressures, lack of sleep, untimely meals, being exposed to direct sunlight and the like are some of the things to avoid by him. And this is the reason why he can no longer help me in our finances. Although he is still ambulatory, he can't put up even a small business due to no capital to start with.
12 years ago after I resigned from my last job, sales then with pre-need products were so good. It’s been our main source of income and savings. We were able to send our children to private Christian school and satisfy them with their needs. Our lifestyle then was very comfortable that we experienced how it was to be more blessed when we give to the needy. Unfortunately, when the problem on pre-need companies become a big issue in the Philippines, many things changed. Our income from sales began to sink in. We’re experiencing the crisis for more than four (4) years now. It started all at the same time when my husband also had been diagnosed of his health problem. From then, sales was getting hard to close and thus income become inconsistent that made me decide lately to land a job again with fixed income just to survive. Because all my jewelries were already sold out and so were our properties.
My husband and I are praying for a sponsor/s to each of our children that would willingly grant scholarship/s to continue their studies in a Christian school (preferably) while they are still in their primary and secondary levels for continuous good moral character development as they grow and become maturing Christian citizens of our nation. Because as of this time, we still find it hard to produce their total school tuition fees and expenses which amounts to around P 80,000.00 annually inclusive of books for the four of them as we are just starting to look for a better income opportunity to pay off our existing obligations. Any assistance that you may extend to our children would be very much appreciated and would become part of their lives in all their achievements.
